The Inada Sogno is without a doubt, the very best massage chair on the market, in my opinion. I’ve owned two other massage chairs by Panasonic and Human Touch and they are not even in the same class as the Inada in terms of looks, functionality and build quality. This high build quality of this chair is quite apparent after several uses, and I feel confident that it will perform for many years to come. In addition, the technical support in Colorado has been very responsive to my questions, which gives me comfort that the company stands behind the product; an important consideration for a product manufactured far away in Japan.
I personally use the chair at least three times a day. I’ve had it for over a month and a half now, and have not missed a single day. It’s really something to look forward to! I have always had back and neck pain, and since using the Inada consistently, I can honestly say that I feel much better overall. The back rollers have a reach that is further than any other chair I’ve ever tried. The rollers perform many different functions, including several variations of shiatsu, needing, rolling, tapping, “human hands,” and others, and in many cases move in both the forward and reverse directions, have variable speed settings and variable widths.
The head unit does a great job in massaging your neck muscles using air pressure. The many airbags installed in the chair work amazingly on your tired muscles and increases blood circulation, which is very beneficial. Especially for people like me that happen to have diabetes. Everyone that uses the chair really appreciates the airbags in the calves, legs, seat, neck, and even on the bottoms of your feet. I enjoy the eight different pre-programmed massages, but often use the manual mode, which allows me to select any combination that the chair is capable, with variable strengths, widths, air pressures, roller speeds, and roller length. In addition, you can set the roller depth for a lighter or more vigorous massage using air pressure that raises or lowers the rollers agaist your back. If there were one feature I would add, it is a memory function that allows you to save one or more of your manual settings. But overall, I could not be happier with this purchase. I never knew I could be so enthusiastic over a chair. Thanks Inada, for improving my quality of life!

“I had a demonstration of another massage chair in a mall near my house. It was not very comfortable and I found myself tensing up. So I wasn’t sure about trying the Inada Sogno DreamWave massage chair.
What a difference! Although I did feel somewhat confined in the beginning, the Inada Sogno is much more comfortable in general. The dual chamber cushions on the seat, arms, legs and neck better focus the pressure during the massage. When the chair scanned my back, the roller placement seemed more accurate and wasn’t uncomfortable. It took a few minutes for me to relax, but very quickly I found myself not trying to anticipate where the massage was going but instead enjoying the experience.
The Quick massage program was much more than I expected. The chair reclined into a very comfortable position. The massage was smooth and transitioned very well, and the intensity was perfect. I was surprised how accurately the cushions exerted pressure. At this point, I was still somewhat tense, but quickly starting to relax. This program gave me a great first impression of what the Sogno DreamWave could do.
Morning was the next massage program and this is when I really began to realize the capabilities of the Sogno massage chair. The tempo is quick, but not harsh or abrupt and the pressure was more firm. The way the program transitions from your limbs to your torso and upper body is really invigorating. Using this massage in the morning would be a phenomenal way to start the day.
The Night massage program was unbelievable! The pressure and intensity changed to a very calming, peaceful rhythm. This program made me feel like I was floating, almost in a dream-like state. It was very difficult to stay awake.
Stretch was next and I was surprised that the Sogno DreamWave had so much mobility. The Sogno’s ability to elongate without feeling disjointed was impressive. I didn’t feel like I was being over-stretched which was an initial concern. The stretch was firm but gentle. I can imagine myself using this setting before a workout to get the blood flowing.
The Dreamwave massage is a total blur. By this time, I was so relaxed I was having difficulty staying awake.”
