Inada Massage Chair D.1 Wins CES (Consumer Electronics Show) Innovations 2004 Design and Engineering Showcase Award
Dec. 16, 2003 – Family Inada, maker of the world’s first shiatsu massage chair in Japan, announced today that the Inada Chair D.1 was named an honoree for the Innovations 2004 Design and Engineering Showcase, honoring this year’s most innovative consumer electronics products. The Inada Chair D.1 will be on display at the Innovations 2004 booth (Silver Exhibits, Booth #70311) during the 2004 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), January 8-11, 2004. The Inada Chair D.1, which recently became available in the U.S. from Japan, is the world’s first full-body massage chair that adapts itself to the shape of the user’s body with state-of-the-art infrared technology ($4,900). It scans the user’s body, measures the height and detects pressure points offering customized full-body massage, from head to toe, including revolutionary arm/hand massage.
